The Chosen One A Man Who Is Used By The Germans - 1100 Words

The Chosen One: A Man Who Is Used By The Germans (Essay Sample) Content: THE CHOSEN ONE. The modern world and traditional African setting had separate habitats and different modes of survival. These modes of survival were only effective if these two civilizations existed separately; but somehow the modern world sought to rule over the traditional systems just to be in power and benefit from their rich unexploited resources. The German government through the countrys most experienced scientists had just completed a study on superhuman capabilities. Death together with most human flaws and weaknesses were what the scientists mostly tried to overcome. They had an underground base in the city of Stuttgart close to the tropical forest. Claus, an intern at Atman Limited was once used as a specimen to test these superhuman capabilities. Claus, having no hobbies at all found it a joy to try out experiments in the laboratory. Although he lost his legs when he was a little child, he always wished to go a step further in his research on a daily basis . The German scientists studied a native clan of Nsombuku that was located in Africa. However, this was no ordinary clan. Its inhabitants were giants with blue pigmented skin. The scientists studied mode of hunting, their habitat, how they worshipped and many more interesting and rare facts about the clan. But, were the inhabitants of Nsombuku really comfortable with the German scientists? They made noises with their large flight ships; they dug holes everywhere in the name of mining and even took the lives of those who tried to defend their land. Day sixteen into the study, Claus was used as a tool to get to the clan easier by learning their ways and their systems of survival. Amazed by the idea of walking, Claus always found reason to be used as specimen time and again. He also had a daily discussion with the army commander who gave him strict conditions on how he was to handle himself in his new body form during his missions. Now familiar with most of the inhabitants of the Nsomb uku clan, there was one certain maiden who had caught Claus' attention. Kiki, the princess of the kingdom loved taking care of the younger generation of the inhabitants. Claus always found reason to gaze at her once in a while. However, he never got the chance to speak to her. Back at the base in Germany, Claus gave his daily report on the clan and was dismissed. He overheard the scientists talk about total annihilation of the clan to retrieve gold that was located in the stem of their sacred tree at the centre of their village. Claus realized he was actually being used in the wrong way by the scientists. Instead of confronting them, he decided to change form and go alert the clan of the danger that would befall them. Soon after they got the message, Claus was tied up with spears pointing his neck by the inhabitants of the clan. Kiki herself elegantly walked up to Claus and questioned his existence in the clan with balancing tears in her eyes. All of a sudden, a blast was heard from the west side of the village. The German scientists had already arrived to destroy the village... The king and queen rarely came out of the shrine, but when they heard the intensity of the blast, they came down from their tree to help their people. Claus was the first they saw kneeling down before them asking for forgiveness. He gave them the story of how he was sent by the Germans to deceive them. Since he wasn't taken lightly, he was removed from their presence because they had much bigger problems to solve at that moment. Claus had to do something about the situation at hand. He gathered warriors from all round the village and surrounding villages. Though they had sticks, stones and spears to fight the armed Germans with, Claus was their motivation. He gave them hope and drove them through the battle. Most of them lost their families and some of their most prized possessions, but at the end of the day, the victory is what would count most. Hundreds of the villagers were dead and just a few were left to defend their sacred tree. However, they still had their fighting spirit. Kiki, the princess joined in the fight to defend her people. The king and queen took refuge in the shrine in fear of the Germans machines. Clau...
